For the Non-degree track: An applicant for the Certificate of Completion track must hold an applied Science or an equivalent degree in engineering, applied science or mathematics from a university of recognized standing. In the absence of this, academic qualification and working experience in the power industry will be considered.
For the degree track: An applicant for the MEng or the Diploma track must hold a Bachelor degree in engineering from a university of recognized standing. The standard of performance in obtaining this degree, as indicated by the official transcript and reference, must indicate that the candidate has academic ability sufficiently above average to be successful in and benefit from graduate work at this university. Normally, an "A" average grade in the undergraduate program is a required minimum. Students with a deficient undergraduate background, but suitable academic standing to pursue graduate studies may be required to take a number of courses. These would be specified by the department with the candidate obtaining at least 75% before being admitted in the program. Each such application will be considered on its own merits.
