As part of our effort to enhance graduate student interaction, the
department is committing more resources to the existing grad-talks
event. The talks will be called "Graduate Research Seminars", and we
encourage grad student participation from *all* research areas within
ECE listed in the following.
Graduate Research Areas:
-
Antennas, Microwaves, and Wave Optics

The talks will take place on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 12:30 every week
(including 2 talks). Each talk with QA has 30 minutes.
-
Three "best-seminar" awards ($500 each) will be given every term.
-
A committee of 3 faculty members (Professors Liang-Linag Xie, Zhou
Wang, and Stephen Smith) is formed to organize the seminar series. The
committee, chaired by Professor Xie, will be responsible for ensuring
quality, participation of all research areas, and evaluation.
-
Prominence and publicity will be given by posting the seminar series
every term on ECE website.
-
You are welcome to contact the Graduate Research Seminars organization
team gradtalks@ece.uwaterloo.ca to reserve a spot for SPRING term with
