- My graduate student Mr. Jianwei Liu is the recipient of the Best Student Poster Paper award at IEEE-PES General meeting, Toronto, July 2003.
- My graduate student Tarek El Fouly is the recipient of the Dr. M. Chandrashekar Memorial Award in Sustainable Energy, University of Waterloo 2003/2004.
- The 4th Year Design Project (ID 2004.004) I supervised is the recipient of the Energy Ambassador Computation, National Resources Canada (NRC), Office of Energy Efficiency, 2003.
- My graduate student Maged Wadie is the recipient of The Best Student’s Paper Award,IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, Pittsburgh, PA, 1994.
