The Eyjafjallajoekull Eruption

When I began creating this document, I had not had a serious interest in becoming proficient at Word nor had I spent any significant amount of time learning the tools available. While I had intended to write such a document for some time, it was always difficult to find the time to commit to such a project. When the Eyjafjalla (ay-yaf-yall-la) volcano erupted in April of 2010 and prevented me from flying to Poland to join my family for my vacation, I began the next morning at eight o'clock to write this document. A week later, the majority of the report was complete; however, I am not by any means an expert on Word and I would appreciate and acknowledge any further suggestions to improve the content of this document. In the document itself, I also acknowledge all those who helped me with proof-reading and providing other suggestions. At the same time, if you are exceptionally proficient at Word and believe that this document does describe the best practices for the techniques listed, I would appreciate such a confirmation. While I missed my family trip to Europe, perhaps this report is something good which came from the volcano under Eyjafjallajökull and I was fortunate enough to take a photograph of my nemesis when I visited Iceland in 2009 (see Figure 1).
