IEEE Executive Positions and Related Duties
Chairman
- Head of the IEEE student branch
- Manages the current general operations of the branch.
- Plans the future goals for the branch.
- Promotes the branch at public functions.
- Chairs executive and general meetings.
Vice-Chairman
- Monitors member committee operations.
- Coordinates member committees and assists their productivity.
- Advisor to the chairman.
- Performs duties of chairman when required.
Secretary
- Prepares agenda with the chairman for executive meetings.
- Writes letters and aids in the writing of corporate proposals.
- Keeps the minutes during executive meetings.
- Responsible for all official paperwork and records.
Treasurer
- Financial management and book keeping responsibilities.
- Fund raising director (must direct the financial feasibility of fund raising activities).
- Fund raising director.
- Responsible for control of petty cash funds.
CCCI Chair
- Chairman of the CCCI chapter of the IEEE student branch.
- Responsible for the computer facilities of IEEE
Internal Affairs
- Manage the current student membership.
- Insure that all executive duties are being performed.
- Act as liaison (with IEEE class representatives) between all members and the exec.
- Maintain the records of all student branch membership.
External Affairs
- Publicize the IEEE student branch to the student body.
- Promote the IEEE student branch to corporate sponsors.
- Generate proposals for new IEEE promotional activities.
- Act as liaison between the student branch and external bodies.
McNaughton Centre Director
- Responsible for continually improving and maintaining the McNaughton Centre.
- Consults the membership for improvement requirements.
- Manages the day-to-day operations and usage of the McNaughton Centre.
- Generates the yearly IEEE upgrade proposal for the McNaughton Centre.
Membership Co-ordinator
- Collect and process membership applications.
- Verify membership status of new applicants.
- Promote new membership and handle new member inquiries.
