Electromagnetic Inverse Scattering Systems
Electromagnetic inverse scattering system (EMISS) is a new technology developed at CIARS to overcome the drawbacks of existing imaging systems. EMISS enables 4-D imaging in Terahertz and microwave frequencies. The 4th dimension is permittivity, and attenuation (gray-scale) and spatial information (x, y) are other existing dimensions.
The applications of EMISS are in
  • Medical imaging
  • Remote Sensing
  • Industrial quality control
  • Law enforcement
  • Security
