Administrative Roles

I currently serve as the 4th Year Design Project Co-ordinator for ECE. In this role, I manage the day-to-day operation of the design courses (ECE 391, ECE 492A, and ECE 492B) and I am heavily involved in the organization of the 4th Year Design Project Symposium. The 2012 Design Symposium will be held on Wednesday, March 21st.

Previously, I served as the Director of the UW Microsoft Alliance in ECE. As Director, I managed the operation of the Microsoft Online Learning Initiatives (MOLI) Project and supervised full-time co-op students working on e-learning tools and technologies for online learning initiatives within the ECE Department. More information on the MOLI Project can be found here.

Volunteer Roles

I participate in the annual University Fair and other high school outreach activities. I have also served as a judge for the Waterloo Wellington Science and Engineering Fair and as a Faculty Mentor for the UW ASIC Group

Student Supervision

As a continuing lecturer, I am eligible to act as a sole supervisor of graduate students, a consultant on student design projects, and a supervisor of undergraduate research assistantships. I currently have two graduate students under my direct supervision. I am currently looking for two more fully-funded graduate students to pursue research related to multicore architectures and embedded multimedia processing.
