Conduct of the Examination

The following equipment will be brought to every presentation:

The TPPE Coordinator is responsible for ensure that there are a sufficient number of TPPE Evaluation forms and TPPE Attendance forms, but please inform him if supplies are getting low.

Evaluators grade each student independently during and immediately after the examination; however, the evaluators should discuss any of the four aspects where the difference in grade is greater than one.

Students are not to be told their grade. Students may view their grades on UW-ACE a few days after the presentation.

If any other faculty or staff are present, they should be asked to perform an evaluation which should be given to the evaluators.

The TPPE Attendance and TPPE Evaluation forms should be given to Irena as soon as possible after the session.

Troubleshooting

If one evaluator is present at the session, then the examinations still proceed. If the single evaluator gives a passing grade, then the student passes the examination. If single evaluator gives a failing grade, the student and the missing evaluator must arrange a presentation at a mutually convenient time so that there are two evaluations. The student must use the same visual aids for the second presentation.

If an evaluator fails to start the clock at the start of the examination, the evaluators will estimate how much time has passed and come up with some means of communicating this to the speaker; however, the student should not be failed for duration unless it is significantly less than twelve minutes or significantly greater than fifteen minutes.

If the lap-top computer does not work and an alternate laptop cannot be found, then the session will be rescheduled to another date no later than the last day of classes.
