## Example Diagrams

Anyone wishing to may use any of these images (click to enlarge) for their courses. In all these cases, the partial derivative at F = L under optimal conditions (M = PL = 100) and probable conditions (M = F and PL = 80) is between 1.16666 and 4; and 1.1666 and 2.6. The second suggests that an increase in grade on the final of 1 will result at most at a change in the overall grade of 2.6.

This page has three cases based on the percentage weight of the Final-Midterm-Projects/Laboratories.

Each of these is further sub-divided as to when projects/laboratories begin having non-zero weight (either 40 or 50) and when projects/laboratories have full weight (either 50 or 60). In each case, the formula below the images gives the result for the transition zone.

If there is a situation which is not listed here, please contact me.
