Updated for 2010 Changes to the Professional Engineers Act
These web pages have been updated to include both
enacted and pending changes due to the Open for Business Act, 2010. Note
that some changes will not be in force until proclaimed by the Lieutenant
Governor; for example, the putting into force the end of the industrial
exemption has been delayed numerous times.

The education and exierience requirements stated in the Act are listed in Ontario Regulation 941 Section 33(1) with two education requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering program from a Canadian university or equivalent, and
- Has written the Professional Practice Exam (PPE).
and two expereience requirements with one restriction:
- has 48 months of engineering experience,
- at most 12 months of which is from co-op education placements, and
- at least 12 months of which are engineering experience in Canada.
Holders of a licence are members of PEO, they may use the title "professional engineers", and they may
use the abbreviation "P.Eng." after their names.
