Thrust Areas:
- Primarily driven by high-speed clock data recovery circuits, and low power signal processing and bio-implantable analog/mixed signal circuits
- Multi-Gb/s CDR circuits with the aim of improving both the performance and the manufacturability
- Novel phase detection architectures and calibration algorithms
- Low voltage sigma-delta modulators
- Bio-implantable telemeter monitoring circuits and systems
- Implantable blood pressure meter
Accomplishments:
- Designed and taped-out two 5 Gbit/s CDR circuits, one with a linear phase detector, the other with a binary phase detector
- Designed and taped-out a 5 Gbit/s CDR circuit using a linear phase detector with digital calibration circuitry to correct for static phase offsets
- Designed and taped-out a new low voltage DC voltage regulator
- Designed and taped-out a novel temperature compensated current source
- Designed and taped-out a low voltage VCO and an SC amplifier
- Designed and taped-out a sub 1-V opamp with a novel CMFB circuit
