Change log
- 2014t1 Sec 1.6: Delta-cycle simulation.
- The first simulation cycle in a simulation round is
not a delta cycle. Previously, the last
cycle in a simulation round was not a delta cycle.
- Projected assignments become visible at the
beginning of the next simulation cycle.
Previously, projected assignments became visible at the end
of the current simulation cycle.
- Processes are resumed at the beginning of
the next simulation cycle.
Previously, processes were resumed at the end
of the current simulation cycle.
- Terminology of projected assignment and visible
assignment. Previous terminology was provisional
assignment and
visible assignment.
- 2016t1 Dataflow diagrams began to always use
combinational inputs and registered
outputs. This removed the need for marking some cells as
"unused" which was denoted X in the cell.
- 2016t2 Ch 6, in dataflow diagrams, pipeline stages began to be denoted by drawing
a rectangle around the stage. Previously, stage boundaries were
denoted with a double line.
- 2017t1 Sec 5.2.8: In control tables, use a vertical arrow to denote when
a column can be simplified to a constant value. Previously each
cell in the column was overwritten by an "X".
